I found and grow engaged communities
for new and existing games.

  • Created and moderated the team discord

Skills + Experience

  • I have extensive experience collecting meaningful insights from gaming communities and translating them into actionable steps to improve the product, platform or overall user experience. I am highly active within the community and actively listening for concerns both large and small.

  • I have actively moderated a sizable gaming community for several years and am totally comfortable in identifying, confronting and taking decisive action appropriate to an issue. I am able to provide strong, structured training to community volunteer moderators who can be present when I am not.

  • One of my favorite parts of being a community manager is collaborating with a larger internal team. I am comfortable working with artists, marketing staff, executive teams and any other stakeholders to represent the community’s voice.

  • I have professional training in performance, active listening and empathic negotiation through both written and live communication channels, and feel totally at ease searching out synergistic partnerships. In the past, I have found and closed agreements with both small and nationally known companies as well as streamers, and artists to provide value to my player communities.

  • There is nothing more electric than planning and executing an amazing live event. I have experience in navigating the entire process from initial planning and venue negotiations through to execution and hosting. I am incredibly detail oriented and actively plan each stage of an event with a lens of actionable gamification, and human focused design.

  • Being in touch with the community means understanding where the community naturally seeks out information. I have learned to identify platforms that are most beneficial to the organization I am working with and how to best leverage the platform to deliver on KPI. The vast majority of my experience is within gaming communities, and because of this I have become heavily proficient in utilizing Discord, Reddit and Meta.

Tools I use

Discord

Gaming communities are often centered around discord. With proper moderation, expert setup, and a long-term strategy for engagement, discord has been an excellent foundation for communities I have worked with.

Reddit

Although I prefer not to use reddit as a basis for community engagement, it has been an important platform to use for seeking out new community members who may be interested in joining an organized discord or other platform.

Social Media

I am knowledgeable about the majority of current social media platforms as a means to drive growth.

Airtable

I am comfortable coordinating small teams and coordinating within large teams through any of the current team collaboration software platforms. I enjoy using airtable as a means of tracking ownership and execution of tasks.

Figma

Community management is all about communication. I am an expert at creating images, UI elements and workflows in figma that engage community members while accurately and efficiently transmitting information.

Adobe Creative Suite

When Figma isn’t enough or isn’t suitable to the task of creating longer form or more intricate communications, I am able to effectively use photoshop, illustrator and Adobe XD.
